Dr Cristina Penanueva is an experienced General Practitioner with more than 32 years of medical experience. She completed her medical degree in the Philippines and undertook further training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology before practising in the Fiji Islands. After moving to Australia in 2003, Dr Penanueva continued to expand her clinical expertise, working in hospital settings within Obstetrics and Gynaecology and completing the DRANZCOG Advanced qualification. She became a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (FRACGP) in 2021.

Dr Penanueva is passionate about providing compassionate, patient-centred care and values building long-term relationships with her patients. She has a special interest in women’s health and acupuncture, supporting patients through various stages of life with a focus on preventative health, wellbeing, and evidence-based care. In addition to her general practice experience, she has previously worked as a Surgical Assistant and is also a Fellow of the Australian Medical Acupuncture College (FAMAC).

Dr Penanueva is committed to providing safe and appropriate medical care and does not prescribe drugs of addiction, sleeping tablets, or compounded medications.

Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, cooking, travelling, and spending quality time with her daughters and family dog.
